Confirmed under OEM reference 255-1701105, it is a direct replacement part built to factory specifications, ensuring precise gear alignment and long-term transmission reliability.

Why choose this secondary shaft?
Machined from high-strength, heat-treated steel, this OEM-equivalent shaft is engineered to handle the torque and stresses of UAZ driving conditions. It ensures exact meshing with gears and synchronizers, delivering smooth power transfer and stable gear ratios without lash or slippage. Replacing a worn or damaged shaft restores original gearbox performance, reduces noise, and prevents costly secondary failures within the transmission assembly.

Technical details:
Material: Hardened, high-strength steel for fatigue resistance
OEM reference: 255-1701105
Application: Secondary (counter) shaft for 5-speed UAZ gearboxes
Condition: New OEM-equivalent component

Compatible models:
Bukhanka Modern (2.7L)
Hunter & 469 (2.7L)

Installation tips:
Inspect bearings, synchronizers, and seals before fitting the new shaft. Clean the gearbox housing thoroughly, paying attention to oil passages. Lubricate all gears with the correct transmission oil during assembly. Secure with UAZ-specified torque values and refill with approved gear oil after installation. Run the gearbox through all gears to check smooth operation before returning to service.

When to replace?
Replace the secondary shaft if you notice grinding in higher gears, excessive backlash, or slipping under load. It is recommended during full gearbox rebuilds or at around 200,000 km, particularly for vehicles exposed to heavy-duty use, towing, or frequent off-road driving. Early replacement prevents further internal gearbox damage.

Questions about fitment?
Not sure if this part fits your vehicle?
